| HOW I BECAME A DRAGON: I'm Usually Human, as One can See. But Inside, There's a Magic Fire in me. I Yearned for a Change, to be Different Outside, But Still Meant to Retain, Secret things inside. Then one day, being a Railfan at Heart, I went and Purchased a Fine Old Bell. From an Engine long lost, I had no Idea; For ages, this thing was Under a Spell! I got back to my Office, and Closed the Door. I was Ready to Investigate! I wanted to be alone, to Listen and Implore, and Find out what this Bell had to say! Lifting the Glass sitting on the Case, a smell of Copper filled the Air. The Bell was Shining, Glistening so Bright, It dared me to Ring it, Like Bait on a Snare. It had got me. I couldn't Resist! I wanted to Hear it, and Had to Insist. Grasping the Cord, and Biting my Tongue, I gave it a Pull... And Yes, It Rung. But then, Things started getting Strange. I was Quickly surrounded by Wisps of Magic. My Vision Dulled, My Insides burned in Pain. Suddenly, I had a Feeling; This choice was Tragic! I collapsed onto my Side, Unable to See. What have I done? Oh God, Help Me! I was in Pain, inside and Out. My Life was then Much in Doubt. But then, I started breathing Heavily. The Pain Subsided, my Vision came back-to-me. I tried to Stand up but I Couldn't do so. Something was up, and I surely knew so. I crawled to a Mirror, and Looking at myself, I couldn't believe my own Eyes! Sitting on the Floor, was a Green and White Dragon! I just Discovered My New Guise. ...But Looking at Myself, my Confidence came Back. I was still the Same, a Handsome young Chap. My Colours were Flashy, Green and White, And I still had Hair, and a Few White Stripes. So Now I'm a Dragon, I can Fly and be Free, But the Spirit of a Railroader never Left me. Owner and Operator of the SMPG, Even as a Dragon, I'm Glad to be Me... |
